The Bread and Butter Thing ("TBBT") is an innovative and fast-growing charity. We run mobile food clubs in community locations across the North West and the North East of England. Every week we provide food to more than 10,000 families who have access to low-cost healthy food because of our work.
As a key part of the Bread and Butter Team you'll make things happen - setting standards, delivering on time, providing excellent customer service and working in a safe way to make your team and region the best they can be.
This is a diverse role and will include working in a warehouse, driving and supporting the community.
You'll process the food as it comes into the warehouse, checking goods for damage and storing warehouse goods in an organised manner. Each morning you will select the food for the community and load the vans working as a team to ensure that we deliver the best available food offer into the community.
Positive, hands on, you will use your extensive customer service experience to ensure that you maintain fantastic relationships within our communities. In this role you will be dealing with people from all walks of life, and it will be critical that you can be an ambassador for TBBT in all situations.
You'll be the kind of person who is always ready to get stuck in and work alongside your team, keeping each other motivated, engaged, and pulling together as one.
You'll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working.
You will be able to work flexibly - able to cover regional opening hours on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
