Groundwork NI is an Equal Opportunities Employer. About The Role Groundwork Northern Ireland are currently recruiting a Community Engagement Lead to join our amazing team. They will be based in the Belfast office while delivering programmes across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland. The post holder will be an integral part of the Groundwork NI team and be responsible for capacity building, community development and community relations within and between communities, both in rural and urban areas. They will identify and provide appropriate support that will enable and empower groups to identify and meet existing or emerging needs. The role will be varied and rewarding and will play a key role in supporting the work of the Trust, while also supporting management and the promotion of Groundwork NI\xe2\x80\x99s corporate employee volunteering partnerships. The post-holder will have excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail, as well as first-rate communication skills and the ability to work in a professional manner. They will be able to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions and be self-motivated, with a strong personal commitment to the values of Groundwork NI.   • Minimum one years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in developing/ delivering community development programmes.
  • Experience of problem solving and negotiation
  • Ability to plan, organise own workload and deal with competing demands
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Fully proficient at using IT systems, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office packages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience of budget management

  • Flexibility and responsiveness to change
  • Willingness to undertake regular travel and to work out of office hours where necessary.

  • Experience of reporting to funders, writing reports, case studies, and financial reporting
  • Experience of developing and publishing content on social media

  • Experience of evaluating and improving programme outcomes.
