What you'll be doing?




Barratt Redrow, Homes England and Lloyds Banking Group joined forces as co-investors to establish MADE Partnership.



MADE Partnership acts as a master developer, managing the development of large-scale projects, taking responsibility for the overall vision and strategy, and coordinating the wide range of stakeholders involved. It assembles the land, manages the planning, installs the primary and community infrastructure, disposes of serviced parcels of land to homebuilders, and ensures robust long-term stewardship is put in place.



In this role you'll work as part of the Group Major Projects team - the specialist master developer unit within Barratt Redrow Developments which manages the MADE Partnership business on behalf of the investors. We have a pipeline of projects ready to mobilise into delivery.



As a Community Engagement Manager within Barratt Redrow Major Projects, you will support the delivery of complex, large-scale developments operating closely with the whole team.


You will help drive the success of our master developer business by leading community and stakeholder engagement, PR/Comms, community infrastructure, social value and long-term stewardship. You will work collaboratively with internal teams, landowners/partners, consultants, contractors and wider stakeholders. You will support our aim of creating great places to live, work and relax where communities engaged at all stages and social and economic benefits are maximised.



You will be expected to:




Community & Stakeholder Engagement




Develop and implement inclusive community engagement strategies across all development phases--from masterplanning through to occupation. Act as a key liaison between the developer, local councils, future residents, parish/town councils, and community organisations. Organise and facilitate public consultation events, planning exhibitions, and community workshops to ensure transparent dialogue and co-creation.

Public-Private Partnership Coordination




Ensure alignment between public and private sector partners on engagement goals, KPIs, and community benefits. Represent the development at local authority meetings, advisory boards, and partnership forums. Contribute to regulatory reporting and partnership reviews, highlighting community engagement and benefits outcomes and progress.

Resident Stewardship & Long-Term Governance


Lead on the formation of long term stewardship including setting up Resident Management Companies (RMCs) and prepare residents for future governance roles and stewardship responsibilities. Collaborate with legal, operations, and estate management teams to ensure transparent handover plans and resident empowerment Support residents in shaping community rules, service levels, and local programming.

Social Value Delivery




Embed a Social Value Strategy that includes local employment, training, social enterprise support, placemaking initiatives, and community development. Track and report on social value metrics and outcomes in line with business plan and ESG objectives. Cultivate partnerships with local schools, charities, and social enterprises to ensure long-term benefit to developments and the surrounding area.

Communications & Digital Engagement




Develop and manage clear, accessible communication tools including websites, newsletters, signage, and digital forums tailored to diverse audiences. Support early residents through onboarding materials and FAQs that explain the development's vision, infrastructure, and governance model. Monitor community sentiment and provide regular updates to internal teams and partners.

What you'll need?




To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
Experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, or placemaking--ideally in the context of housing, regeneration, or large developments. Strong understanding of processes involved in delivering large developments Familiarity with the set-up and operation of RMCs or stewardship regimes. Experience in delivering or monitoring social value initiatives. Comfortable working across public, private, and community sectors. Knowledge of community-led housing or participatory planning models. Experience working in or with local authorities. Proficiency in digital engagement platforms and collaborative tools. Exceptional communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
