We're now looking for a passionate and experienced Community Engagement Team Leader to join our dedicated team.
About the Role
You'll lead a small, committed team to deliver inclusive and inspiring community activities across four local venues. From toddler groups and youth clubs to adult social sessions, you'll play a key role in creating safe, supportive spaces that promote inclusion, wellbeing and community pride.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and lead a Community Engagement Strategy.
Coordinate and oversee a programme of activities across four venues.
Supervise and support staff through regular 1:1s and appraisals.
Ensure staffing cover during leave or absence.
Work with residents to co-design sessions and encourage participation.
Promote positive behaviours and community involvement.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
Manage the team budget and contribute to fundraising efforts.
Gather data, case studies, and report on progress for funders.
Champion a safe community culture.
Key Experience & Skills:
Experienced in community, youth, or social work.
A confident team leader with excellent people skills.
Organised, creative, and passionate about inclusion and community development.
Able to work flexibly (including some evenings/weekends).
A clear communicator with strong reporting and IT skills.
Knowledgeable about safeguarding and project management.
Comfortable using tools like Microsoft Office and social media.
Level 2 or above in English and Maths (GCSE, Functional Skills, Key Skills etc.).
Ideally qualified to degree level (or equivalent experience).
Additional Requirements:
Driving licence and access to a car.
Enhanced DBS check (funded by us).
