We are a local charity supporting unpaid carers and people with care and support needs across Coventry and Warwickshire. We provide services, information, advice, and advocacy -- ensuring carers and their families receive the right support when they need it most.

The Role



We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated Community Fundraiser to help grow income and strengthen our profile across Coventry and Warwickshire. You will play a key role in developing relationships with local businesses, schools, faith groups, and community organisations, inspiring them to support unpaid carers, people with care and support needs and their families.

JOB DESCRIPTION



Role Purpose

To deliver community fundraising activity that raises vital income, increases awareness of unpaid carers, and builds strong, lasting relationships with community supporters.

Key Responsibilities

Community Fundraising & Events



Plan, deliver, and evaluate community fundraising activities and events. Support and inspire individuals, schools, and community groups to fundraise. Provide excellent stewardship to fundraisers, donors, and supporters.

Relationship Building



Build partnerships with local businesses, faith groups, schools, and clubs. Develop innovative fundraising ideas to engage community supporters. Represent the charity at community events, presentations, and cheque collections.

Campaigns & Communications



Work with the PR & Communications Officer to promote fundraising activities. Use social media and digital tools to engage supporters. Produce engaging fundraising materials and updates.

Administration & Reporting



Keep accurate records of income and supporter details using the CRM/database. Monitor progress against fundraising targets. Ensure fundraising activities comply with relevant fundraising regulations.

PERSON SPECIFICATION



Knowledge



Essential:

Understanding of fundraising principles Awareness of community fundraising methods
Preferrable:

Knowledge of the unpaid carer sector Knowledge of fundraising regulations and GDPR

Experience



Essential

:

Income generation, events, or fundraising Building community or business relationships Organising events or campaigns
Preferrable:

Working in a charity fundraising role Working with volunteers Achieving fundraising targets

Skills & Abilities



Essential

:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and time management skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Competent in IT (Microsoft Office, databases, social media)
Preferrable:

Ability to use design/digital tools for marketing Presentation/public speaking experience

Passion for making a difference to carers and their families Positive, pro-active attitude Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
