The Community Mediation Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of a community-based mediation program, helping individuals and groups resolve conflicts peacefully and constructively. This role involves managing cases, supporting volunteer mediators, coordinating outreach, and maintaining strong relationships with community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage case intake, scheduling, and mediator assignments.
Support and supervise mediators.
Serve as the main contact for clients, providing information and guidance.
Maintain accurate and confidential programme records.
Build partnerships with local organisations, schools, and service providers.
Promote mediation and conflict resolution through outreach and education.
Qualifications:
Educated to at least a GCSE level with Maths and English Grade 4 or above (old grade of C).
Mediation or ADR training/certification preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
Strong IT literacy, including the use of office software, digital communication tools, and data management systems.
Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
