We are looking for a Hub Advisor ideally with a knowledge of the Scottish Benefits system to join our busy team at GRA Community Support Hub
Principal Duties:
Giving confidential, free and impartial advice to members of the public in a friendly, helpful and welcoming manner
Calculating benefit entitlement
Assisting clients with the use of IT Equipment including the submission of online claim forms and journals
Keeping accurate and up to date client files with AdvicePro
Assisting clients to apply for the relevant benefits
Liaising with and working in partnership with other agencies within the Advice Hub
Assisting with Workshops and Information Sessions ongoing with the Advice Hub
Collating Client Feedback for organisational review
The keeping of statistics and other records and preparation of reports as required
Liaison with other Voluntary and Statutory bodies
File and update information and resources
Work as part of a dedicated team of Hub Advisers doing fortnightly peer reviews of files for accuracy
Work with the Food Pod to provide food bank referral and follow up
Outreach in the surrounding communities
Training
Training is a vital part of the job, which may require overnight stays.
Training will cover issues such as changes to benefits and updates to systems as well as in house fire safety etc
The job holder will require a Basic Disclosure, this is funded by GRA, job only confirmed on receipt of Disclosure.
A driving license would be desirable
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
