Community Support Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced leader with knowledge of delivering community services either in the public or third sectors. The Community Support Manager will be a key member of the Charity's leadership team.

Core Duties



Responsibility for the delivery of our network of Trussell Trust foodbanks ensuring environmental health compliance, as well as safe and secure venues

Management responsibility for foodbank volunteers; including the oversight of their recruitment, induction and ongoing development including delivery of training workshops

Day to day oversight of community support activities

Ensure accurate foodbank record keeping as well as timely monitoring and evaluation of foodbank provision

Assess and anticipate demand for foodbank provision

Work with existing impact measurement tools and develop new systems as appropriate

Leadership of the foodbank staff team and financial inclusion team

Professional casework supervision of the financial inclusion team

Liaison and monitoring of external contracts to ensure that they are impactful and meet the needs of our clients and the charity's objectives

Liaison with Trussell Trust area team

Collaboration with the senior leadership team relating to Trussell Trust Pathfinder projects

Liaison with external partners to ensure smooth running of our household donation provision

Organisation of school holiday food provision

Producing reports for the Board as well as presenting to the Board from time to time

Working collaboratively with other team members to identify future projects which would benefit the community in line with the Charity's aims

Developing sustainable food and advice projects across the community including our Connecting Cafe model

Assess, monitor, implement and review advice and signposting provision

Additional duties



Supporting the Chief Executive Officer with other duties as required

Person Specification



Essential



Degree qualification or equivalent

2 years leadership experience developing high performing teams

Experience of casework supervision

Knowledge of financial inclusion strategies

Able to support the aims and objectives of Horsham Matters

Empathy with those in society facing hardship

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent presentation and negotiation skills

Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt and find solutions

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 17.26 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
