Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor patients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assist with memory care for clients experiencing cognitive challenges, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration. Support clients in long-term care settings or group homes, fostering independence while ensuring safety. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events to promote socialization and mental well-being. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.

Skills

Strong background in care provision, including home health or group home experience. Proficiency in patient monitoring techniques and familiarity with memory care practices. Experience with meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs. Certification in CPR is preferred for emergency preparedness. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
