Overview

This is a Monday to Friday position.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care to individuals in clients own home and local community. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and be committed to enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those they support. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.

Duties

Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments Support patients with medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and safety Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Support with transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or activities Monitor health status and report any concerns or changes to healthcare professionals Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental wellbeing Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary

Qualifications

Prior experience preferred but not essential. Valid driving license for transportation duties Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to care standards

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.61-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
