Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Support clients with mobility including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, maintaining safe driving practices Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate behaviour management techniques Monitor health status and report any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care is highly desirable Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care is preferred Experience with medication administration and basic first aid procedures is advantageous Familiarity with caregiving roles such as childcare or general home support is beneficial Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving client transportation A caring attitude combined with excellent communication skills is essential for building trust and rapport with clients

Pay: 24,420.00-36,879.10 per year
