Do you have experience or knowledge of working with individuals with mental health and emotional wellbeing needs?



The BeeU service provides emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people (ages 0 to 25) in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin



The team are looking to recruit a Band 3 Community Support Worker to work in the Telford area. In the role you will be initiating calls to families on the waiting list to ask a formatted set of questions.

The aim of the roles is to:

To provide support, and intervention to children and young people open to the CAMHS Neuro developmental Service who are waiting for an assessment.

To promote service-users recovery and to assist them to maintain their place in the community or manage transitions between services.

To be involved in the development, planning of our BEEU Service groups and support with facilitating these



You will be responsible for working collaboratively with other Trust services to provide seamless care for service-users on defined care-pathways.



You will be supported by senior staff on duty and multi-disciplinary teams with any escalations.



This job will involve working remotely (from home) making waiting well calls to Families of Children and Young People on our waitlists. Support will be provided from the wider team



This is a fixed term 12-month contract.



Initiates communication with service-users and carers, all members of the multi-disciplinary team and staff in external agencies using a variety of methods including Information Technology.



Raises any concerns from initiated contacts to the appropriate staff and MDT members.



Relates appropriately with service-users, carers, colleagues and others - at all times maintaining professional boundaries.



At all times ensures that own actions, support the equality, diversity, rights and responsibilities of individuals.



Identifies, minimizes and reports risks of danger, harm and abuse to senior colleagues.



At all times minimizes risks to self by undertaking safe working practices whilst regularly working under remote supervision in community settings.



At all times works within agreed and established Trust policy and operational procedures.



Works with other Trust services to promote seamless service-user focused care, transfer and discharge on identified care pathways including accepting routine referrals during the day.
