The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a talent and student focused Community Teacher to join our enthusiastic Health & Social Care team on a full-time basis. The role will involve delivering on our Healthcare, Mental Health and Health and Social Care related programmes at Levels 1, 2 and 3. The successful candidate will also manage a caseload of online learners, accessing the learning and assessment remotely via our online platform.
Delivering various courses to adult learners, the ideal candidate will focus on embracing the college ethos that every learner will achieve their full potential and positively represent the college both internally and externally, at all times. Our programmes are aimed at individuals aiming to progress into the Health & Social Care sector, or to prepare them for further and higher education, supporting them in securing employment through a range of pathways.
The role will be primarily based at The Waterside Centre in Accrington, however travel across Lancashire will be required.
This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation.
What You Will Be Doing:
Deliver all elements of substantial career focussed programmes including: teaching, mentoring, learner reviews, timely feedback and assessment
Plan and prepare high quality teaching and learning for primarily classroom and some online delivery and/or assessment.
Develop and share resources with the team
Support, develop and assess learner work on accredited provision at a range of levels
Complete reviews of learner progress towards achievement of individual learning goals
Contribute towards the quality assurance processes of the team
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
Recognised teaching qualification (or a willingness to achieve one within the first 3 years of appointment)
Driving licence and access to own vehicle to travel across Lancashire
