Marcrist International Limited is seeking a hands-on Company Accountant to support the UK business and work closely with the Finance Director. The role will have primary responsibility for UK finance activities, while also gaining exposure to the German and Swiss subsidiaries to provide operational support and cover as required.

This is a practical, ownership-focused role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the detail, producing accurate management information, and supporting a growing international business.

Key Responsibilities

UK Finance Operations

Record and maintain accurate accounting transactions for sales, purchases, expenses, and banking within Microsoft Dynamics Navision / Business Central Process purchase invoices, employee expenses, and company credit card transactions Handle invoice, payment, and finance-related queries Post bank transactions and perform daily bank reconciliations Monitor GRNI and follow up on outstanding items
Credit Control & Payments

Prepare customer statements, overdue reminders, and aged receivables Run supplier payment runs and support effective cash flow management Support rebate processing and rebate accruals
Month-End & Reporting

Prepare month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments Maintain the UK fixed assets register, including depreciation and capital expenditure Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations Reconcile Amazon sales, fees, and payouts Prepare monthly stock reconciliations and WIP accruals Support production of UK monthly management accounts
Group & International Exposure

Support intercompany recharges and transfer pricing calculations Learn and provide cover for day-to-day finance activities relating to the German and Swiss subsidiaries Work closely with the Group Accountant to ensure consistent reporting and processes
Tax, Compliance & Controls

Prepare and submit UK quarterly VAT returns Support PAYE, Intrastat, and other statutory reporting requirements Assist the Finance Director with statutory accounts and group reporting
HR & Administrative Support

Support the Finance Director with HR administration including holiday management, time and attendance records, and employee data Assist with disciplinary investigations and hearings as required
About You

Strong hands-on experience in a finance role within an SME or multi-entity environment Qualified by experience, part-qualified, or fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent) Solid understanding of transactional accounting and month-end processes Experience working in the finance department of a business selling through Amazon or similar online marketplaces, including reconciliation of sales, fees, and payouts (highly desirable) Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics Navision / Business Central desirable Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Organised, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of processes Interested in developing exposure to international group finance This is an on-site role based in Doncaster. Salary & Benefits
