J&S Accessories is the UK's #1 retailer of motorcycle clothing and accessories with 30 stores across the UK.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Company Accountant to join our small team in Northwich, Cheshire. The successful candidate will oversea all aspects of the day-to-day running of the accounts function and staff. This is very much a hands-on role. Duties

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently Prepare monthly management accounts Prepare the company's year-end accounts pack for external accountants and auditors Provide mentoring to junior staff members as needed in financial procedures and systems Oversea payroll operations Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial management across the organisation Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal controls in all financial transactions Administration of two other commonly owned companies

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy Ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports Previous experience mentoring or training team members is desirable Relevant qualifications such as AAT or ACCA are advantageous but not essential Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
