My Life was established in 2012 as a result of a group of people with disabilities and their families wanting something different to traditional types of health/social care services and wanting more choice and control over their own lives. We pride ourselves on being a unique service. We offer personalised support to a diverse range of individuals living in their own homes. Each person has their own dedicated team, delivering support that's tailored specifically to their needs and preferences. This isn't a one-size-fits-all approach--it's about making sense for them and making a difference.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting in
daily routines, during school
, and during
community outings
Assisting with
personal care
and
complex care needs
Supporting during school hours
Helping with
hydrotherapy sessions weekly
Encouraging confidence, and having fun in all environments - from classroom to swimming pool to days out
Who We're Looking For:
Someone who's energetic, fun-loving, and not afraid to get stuck in
Caring and compassionate, with a willingness to support both physical and emotional needs
Interested in education, care, or child development -- ideal for a Teaching Assistant looking for a more varied and hands-on role
Comfortable with a mix of early starts, later finishes, and some weekend work
A reliable team player, as you'll typically work as part of a team of two
