Job Description

Do you thrive in a role where attention to detail, collaboration, and ethical practice make a meaningful difference? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're recruiting for a Compliance and Monitoring Officer to join our team at Doncaster Mind. This is a key role at the heart of our organisation, ensuring we operate safely, ethically, and in line with all regulatory and quality standards.

This opportunity arises as our current Compliance and Monitoring Manager prepares for a well-earned retirement, leaving behind a strong foundation and a legacy of thoughtful, values-led practice. We're now looking for someone who can build on that work and help shape the next chapter of our journey.

Key Responsibilities

Lead quality management initiatives, including achieving and renewing third-party certifications (e.g., Cyber Essentials, CHAS, MQM) to confirm compliance. Oversee incident and complaint management, ensuring timely recording, response, and escalation of key issues to the CEO for board-level reporting. Create and maintain a strong safety culture, clarifying responsibilities and objectives, and supporting staff with training and guidance on safety and data protection. Manage organisational systems, including setup, auditing, and development of the Client Record Management System (CRMS), and ensure staff access to essential resources. Coordinate compliance and risk management activities, including health & safety measures, risk assessments, building checks, statutory testing, and contractor oversight. Support service-level performance monitoring, reporting, and SLA compliance, working closely with service managers and the Senior Leadership Team. Lead organisational reporting and communication, including producing the annual Quality & Impact Report and maintaining accurate asset registers and induction processes.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks aligned with regulations. Skilled in managing monitoring systems, including client management systems (CMS), and producing accurate reports from complex datasets. Expertise in quality assurance and certification processes, supporting organisational standards and audits. Strong ability to lead inductions, deliver training, and manage complaints effectively while identifying risks and areas for improvement. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, confident engaging with diverse audiences across virtual, phone, and face-to-face settings. Solid understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and health & safety legislation, ensuring compliance and best practice.
