Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that our organisation adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our operations and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality assurance.

To report to the Head of Technical be responsible for the maintenance and implementation of technical compliance policies and quality management systems.

Duties:

Ensure all relevant documentation pertaining to Company Accreditation and compliance to Customer Standards is maintained and kept audit ready. This will include-

Knowledge of

: BRC, Red Tractor, Leaf Audit process

Customer

: Customer code of practices, specification and portal management

Update & Maintain Quality Management System on a daily basis for site and growing Ensure QMS and all relevant documentation is kept up to date and audit ready Manage and conduct internal and external audits as per agreed schedule with Head of Technical Collate and check all due diligence for the growers and update & maintain Grower Due Diligence Tracker throughout the season Work closely with Packhouse, Growing, Packaging & Commercial team to ensure full compliance to company and customer standards. Work closely with head of Technical on various ongoing and future projects Carry out training of others as required in any aspect of their role or as requested. Play an active role in formal and informal 2 way written and verbal communication systems and processes Act in line with company values

Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Qualification:

Essential:

- In-depth knowledge and understanding of food processing industry - fresh produce an advantage?

Strong communication, engagement and motivation skills to drive continuous improvement in Technical Food Safety and Compliance. ?

Strong competency with data management tools including database and Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint

Worked with UK Retailers and familiar with codes of practices and relevant retailers on-line portals.?

Experience in non-conformance and Incident Management. ?

Preferred

- Preferred: Relevant Degree, Accredited Auditor Certification?, HACCP intermediate.

Familiar with UK retailers codes of practices and relevant portals.?

Experience of Red Tractor, BRCGS, Global Gap. Leaf.

Strong interpersonal skills?

Proven project Management Skills

High attention to detail and a can do attitude / proactive

Present information consistently and accurately to senior management & retailer customers

Strong organisational skill -ability to manage online and physical documentation in a structured and orderly manner

- Ability to deal with different nationalities/languages in terms of being able to support around admin required
