Job Summary
We are seeking an individual to join our Safety Team as a compliance Officer. Duties include assisting operational management in ensuring that the construction personnel are adhering to the company's policies and procedures. Main focus will be to inspect work sites and audit plant, equipment and vehicles being used to ensure these assets are fit for purpose and conform to relevant regulations. This job role also includes inspections to ensure the company workers are conforming with relevant codes of practice while working on the highway. Full training will be given to the successful candidate both with the auditing and inspection tasks but also coaching on behavioural aspects of dealing with company employees on site
Responsibilities:
NRSWA/Site compliance audits for street works activities.
Plant/Equipment audits.
Welfare facilities checking.
Vehicle checks.
Ad hoc inspections when required
Requirements
Ideally have a construction background
Understands the need to ensure plant, equipment and vehicles are kept fit for purpose and meet regulatory requirements
Ability to effectively communicate to construction site based personnel
Managing their time to meet targets and company objectives that have been set
Be a team player and commit to carrying out other tasks that the safety team require
Although reporting to the company offices in Droxford, Hampshire, the role is site based with in a geographical area with in the South of England
