To lead the company's approach to Quality and Environmental compliance by developing and continuously improving a central Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO, CoMCoP, MCS, PAS 2030 and other statutory or industry-specific standards.
The successful applicant will take ownership of company accreditations, including CoMCoP, Gas Safe, EUSR, RECC, MCS, PAS 2030, ISO 9001, TrustMark, NAPIT and others, ensuring continued compliance and readiness for external audits, the role will oversee compliance of the audit regime and engineers qualification matrix, working closely with operational teams to maintain technical standards and regulation compliance.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth industry experience in gas, electricity and water metering, Energy efficiency installations, or building services, and a solid understanding of industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the company accreditations and certifications, including CoMCoP, PAS 2030, MCS, ISO 9001, TrustMark, and other industry schemes.
Work towards developing the company's QMS, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and maintains compliance across all operations.
Act as the company's representative for audits in MCS, CoMCoP and Gas Safe.
Lead the internal audit regime and external inspections, completing monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reports any corrective action plans for the Senior management team and our Clients.
Be a member of the Health and Safety committee and give advice in regard to compliance and risk management.
Maintain the company's policy and procedure documentation library, including risk assessments and method statements to ensure they remain compliant with current legislation, accreditation criteria.
Attend weekly meetings with the Client representatives.
Ensure that installation methods, training programs, and supply chain controls meet the expectations of CoMCoP, ISO, PAS 2030, MCS.
Development of data protection practices as Data Protection Officer (DPO), ensuring GDPR compliance in collaboration.
Skills/Qualifications
Proven experience of maintaining and managing company accreditations such as CoMCoP PAS 2030, MCS, ISO 9001.
Strong understanding of the Gas and Electricity industry, or energy efficiency sector, with experience working under Industry accreditation schemes.
Internal Auditor experience/qualifications.
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain QMS across a multi-service business.
Excellent communication and management skills, with experience in producing compliance reports.
Ability to work strategically to drive improvement and ensure audit-readiness.
Experience Required
Experience in quality, compliance or accreditation management, ideally within a similar industry.
Experience with audit preparation and supporting business functions through inspections or surveillance visits.
Experience managing cross-functional or compliance teams.
