At ISS Facility Services Healthcare, we don't just clean and maintain healthcare environments - we create safe, compliant, and high-performing spaces that support better patient care. As a global leader in workplace experience and facilities management, we are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team at Prospect Park Hospital, ensuring our services meet the highest contractual and statutory standards.
The Role
This is a pivotal position within our Private Finance Initiative (PFI) healthcare contract - a complex, long-term partnership between ISS, the NHS Trust, and our Project Co partners. The Compliance Manager ensures ISS meets all contractual, statutory, and legislative obligations, safeguarding both service quality and commercial performance.
Reporting to the Key Account Manager and working closely with the Head of Compliance, Healthcare, you will provide assurance that all service delivery is fully compliant, auditable, and aligned with legal, trust, and company standards. You will champion a strong compliance culture, manage audits and data integrity, and ensure performance information reflects ISS's commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all contractual, statutory, and legislative compliance activities across the PFI contract
Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely corrective actions and continuous improvement
Monitor and manage performance systems, ensuring all contractual KPIs and reporting obligations are met
Analyse and validate performance data, producing accurate and timely compliance reports
Act as the principal contact for contractual and commercial compliance with Project Co and the NHS Trust
Support Service Managers in developing and refining operational systems to drive quality and efficiency
Represent ISS at client and Trust compliance meetings, audits, and service reviews
Drive risk reduction, safety, and governance across all departments
Lead by example - fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and compliance excellence
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in compliance, auditing, or contract management — ideally within healthcare or PFI environments
Strong understanding of statutory, legal, and contractual compliance frameworks
Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint
Confidence interpreting data, contracts, and complex performance information
Personal Attributes
Integrity, professionalism, and a proactive approach
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially aware
Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
Calm and solution-focused under pressure
Why This Role Matters
In a PFI healthcare setting, compliance is more than a process - it's the foundation of trust between ISS, the NHS, and the patients we serve. This role ensures that every service delivered is safe, compliant, and contractually sound, helping ISS avoid penalties, protect its reputation, and continually improve support for frontline care.
