We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Compliance Manager to join our team, supporting EU Surface Transportation. The Compliance Manager - EU Surface Transportation will be responsible to understand our compliance obligations and ensure business partners are aware of what they mean. This role is not just about knowing about what is happening today but also looking ahead to what is coming up tomorrow and taking proactive steps to minimise impact to Operations and most importantly our customers. You will partner with Legal, other risk teams, Operation Leaders, Public Policy and Tech Teams to name a few. You will have the chance to really make your mark in a highly visible role, solving complex problems in a fast-changing environment across more than 25 countries. Key job responsibilities
What will I have ownership of?

  • You will monitor and ensure adherence to local and national regulations; which Surface Transportation teams must abide to.
  • You will provide expert guidance in support of internal policy development, with business teams
  • You will act as a single threaded leader for all compliance related topics and be the go to person for teams to reach out to.
  • You will ensure any non-compliance risks are documented in the Surface Transportation risk register with clear mitigation plans in place to resolve and effective reporting to Leadership.
  • You will earn trust through meaningful relationships with key stakeholder groups.
  • You will keep apprised of trends, best practice and upcoming changes which may impact EU Surface Transportation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree within a Legal, Supply Chain or equivalent discipline
  • Relevant work experience in a similar role within a Transportation or Logistics company
  • Demonstrable knowledge of EU wide Transportation regulations such as Cabotage or Carrier onboarding requirements.
  • Independent self-starter with an eye for detail and ability to clearly articulate complex requirements to all levels
  • Effective writing and verbal skills to communicate your ideas and explain the story
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred:
  • MBA or any other advanced qualification
