WHAT YOU\'LL DO
The Global Services (GS) HR People Experience and Operations team supports 3000 employees, in over 50 countries, throughout their BCG employee lifecycle. This role will be critical in helping us shape the areas of Employee Relations and Mobility & Immigration for GS. Reporting to GS HR People Experience Senior Director, you will work with a strong group of project and programme specialists and collaborate closely with various HR and COE teams across GS and BCG. While this role will be largely focused on ER & Mobility, you will have the remit to think more broadly about HR risk and Compliance across Global Services, ensuring we have the right mechanisms and processes in place to support our HR operations teams across the globe. The day to day running of these topics, and broader projects/programmes will be focused on enhancing the way we support our GS talent (leaders and teams) and helping transform the way we work within the GS HR team to ensure we are consistent, compliant and impactful in what we do day to day.

GS Employee Relations:

  • Maintain framework & processes for how we approach broad topic of Employee Relations - e.g. performance, health, other talent concerns - including how we set best practice around probation period management, and together with the team, considering how we learn from exit interview feedback
  • Document and track GS employee relations cases across geographies & functions
  • Identify areas of opportunity, then partner with GS HR leadership to develop and deliver trainings to enhance knowledge and practices
  • If needed, investigate Employee Relations issues, complaints, and conflicts in the workplace including co-ordinating across HR leadership/ local teams for resolution, documentation and appropriate follow-up
GS Immigration & Mobility:
  • Holistically focus on what GS Mobility as a programme is and how we enhance the way we communicate and manage the day to day processes within it (with a particular focus on our GS location strategy as a north star)
  • Drive the development and implementation of GS policies & processes related to GS location strategy and associated mobility & transfers
  • Develop and maintain location heat map to help HR and Finance BPs with decision making on location strategy for our talent
  • Define the communication and change plans to support mobility cases (both for our talent and also the HR/COE teams we partner with in the process)
  • Using analytical skills, maintain accurate cost benefits analyses for location strategy and ensure HR and Finance BP teams has inputs for budgeting and business case plans
  • Proactively plan to coordinate with Global CoEs (Global mobility, Global Tax, Global Employment Legal ), regional / local experts (immigration, local HR ) and functional HRBPS/Leads on matters related to relocation, employee transfers, international assignments and global mobility
  • Utilize and continue to enhance our tracking tool - ensuring data accuracy and the ability to report
  • Manage/advise changes to employment status, job titles, office locations, salary changes and notify stakeholders appropriately
YOU\'RE GOOD AT
  • Working in a highly matrixed, cross functional organization
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships across the organization, with an ability to influence and advise on a wide range of ER & HR compliance topics
  • Navigating different geographic employment, immigration and tax environments
  • Paying attention to the details and using an analytic mindset to connect dots to problem solve complex situations
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of data and related materials
  • Managing and preparing of materials / presentations for meetings
  • Creating and maintaining operational documentation and playbooks
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or in a related field
  • Proven experience working in a similar capacity
  • Experience in Global Mobility and/or relocation preferred
  • Experience with ER / HR compliance and workplace investigations - essential
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) and its use for reporting purposes.
  • Basic understanding of international taxation and immigration preferred
  • Must have excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, be self-directed and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal effectively work with employees/stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Ability to exercise and maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
