We are recruiting a Compliance Manager to join our Head Office in Skelmersdale, to ensure all assets remain compliant from a legal perspective and within company parameter. NRG Riverside has been dedicated to supplying vehicles and plant on contract hire and rental to private sector companies and central and local government since 1996. We have grown our business by demonstrating a thorough understanding of our customers\xe2\x80\x99 operations, the vehicles they use, and the unique demands placed on those vehicles.
We provide Contract Hire, Rental and Fleet Management, Maintenance and Body shop activities to large PLCs, Local Authorities and Private Waste Contractors throughout the UK and currently operate and own over 3000 specialist commercial vehicles. Our main markets cover the waste, specialist, and recycling sectors, in addition to the distribution and logistics arena.
Manage the fleet compliance to ensure the Department fulfil the following: -

  • Generate due reports for all events
  • Liaise with customer and suitable suppliers in respect of events and secure bookings
  • Chase outstanding paperwork in a timely manner and load onto fleet management system
  • Accurately capture compliance events and future projections
  • Produce overdue reports and action follow up events
  • Generate monthly reports identifying all overdue events for Board level review
  • Ensure department workload is distributed evenly across the Compliance Team based on volume and individual customer demands
  • Provide support to the team to ensure that timeliness and quality is the underlying principle of all process under their control.
  • Ensure that the team works within their job descriptions and adheres to relevant policies, processes and controls.
  • Effective management to ensure targets and objectives are met.
  • Provide feedback, support and guidance where necessary.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements, promoting effective change within the team.
  • Develop and maintain healthy working relationship with customers, internal / external repairs and vehicle manufactures
  • Highlight any issues with internal/external suppliers with a view to resolving as quickly as possible.
  • Attend meetings on and off site with customers and/or suppliers to resolve any issues.
  • Liaise with other staff members within the Company to ensure highest efficiencies are met.
  • Manage holiday requests to ensure sufficient cover is maintained within the Service Department
  • Work closely with Service and IT teams for continual development of the systems.
Skills Required
  • Large fleet management experience across multiple locations
  • HGV knowledge
  • Knowledge of various body and ancillary equipment, including RCV\xe2\x80\x99s/Cranes/Tail Lifts/Gullys.
  • Strong understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
  • Excellent PC skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent relationships (internal and external)
  • Ability to use own initiative and work under pressure.
  • Credible communicator, comfortable influencing senior managers with the ability to negotiate and establish common ground.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of what needs to be achieved and stays focused on the goal.
  • Demonstrate ability in analysing and understanding business-based training and development needs.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments such as service, depots, mobile engineers and hire desk.
