Compliance Manager

Job Description

The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organisation complies with all relevant laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry standards. They oversee compliance frameworks, manage audits, reduce risk, and promote a culture of ethical and responsible conduct across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities



1. Regulatory Compliance



Monitor, interpret, and implement regulations relevant to the organisation. Ensure the business meets legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and legislative changes.

2. Policy & Procedure Management



Develop, review, and update internal policies and procedures. Ensure policies are communicated, accessible, and understood across all departments.

3. Risk Management



Conduct risk assessments and identify compliance vulnerabilities. Recommend corrective actions and track remediation progress. Maintain risk registers and support incident reporting.

4. Audits & Monitoring



Plan and conduct internal audits to assess compliance performance. Coordinate external audits and regulatory inspections. Prepare audit reports and follow up on identified issues.

5. Training & Awareness



Deliver compliance training for staff and management. Promote best practices and improve compliance awareness across the organisation.

6. Reporting



Prepare compliance reports for senior management and the board. Investigate compliance breaches and document findings. Provide recommendations to improve compliance controls.

7. Operational Support



Advise departments on compliance matters and risk mitigation. Support contract reviews and due-diligence processes. Oversee data protection, confidentiality, and ethical standards.

Skills & Qualifications



Essential



Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Experience in compliance, audit, governance, or risk management. Excellent communication and report-writing skills. Attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Desirable



Professional certification, Ideally IOSH Experience with regulatory bodies.

The position is full time however hours negotiable

Renumeration to be agreed based on experience, qualifications and hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,100.22-35,027.52 per year
