Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to oversee and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial regulations, accounting principles, and compliance management to support our commitment to integrity and legal compliance. This role involves conducting internal audits, managing regulatory reporting, and implementing effective compliance programs across various financial and operational functions.

Responsibilities



Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs aligned with industry standards such as SOX, GAAP, TILA, and Fair Housing regulations. Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including SOX compliance and COSO frameworks. Monitor banking activities for fraud prevention and detection, ensuring adherence to the Bank Secrecy Act and other relevant laws. Oversee regulatory reporting processes related to securities law, anti-money laundering (AML), ACH transactions, and other financial disclosures. Provide guidance on technical accounting issues, ensuring compliance with GAAS, GAAP, and other applicable accounting standards. Collaborate with internal teams to identify potential compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies. Stay current on evolving regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act, TILA, and Fair Housing laws to ensure organizational policies remain compliant. Lead training sessions for staff on compliance topics including fraud prevention, securities law, and regulatory updates. Manage documentation related to compliance activities and prepare reports for senior management and regulators.

Experience



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA or CAMS are preferred. Proven experience in compliance management within banking, financial services, or corporate accounting environments. Strong knowledge of SOX requirements, COSO framework, internal audits, and regulatory reporting processes. Familiarity with financial concepts including technical accounting standards (GAAP), TILA regulations, and auditing procedures (GAAS). Experience with financial software systems used for compliance tracking and reporting. Demonstrated understanding of securities law, ACH transactions, fraud detection techniques, and fair housing regulations. Excellent analytical skills combined with strong attention to detail and ethical judgment. Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
