The Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer on an FTC/Maternity Cover, reporting to the Global Compliance Manager. This is a mid - level role.

You'll have a desire to pursue a career in compliance, paired with a commercially minded approach. A genuine love of products, especially within cosmetics and wellness, is essential. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for individuals with a can-do attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality!

The ideal candidate will be familiar with UK and EU General Product Safety and Cosmetics Regulations and enjoy working with people across different teams. In this role, you'll support the Global Compliance Manager in ensuring our products meet regulatory standards across Upper Canada's UK operations from product development and packaging to marketing claims and supply chain practices. You'll also help maintain compliance with global regulations (UK, EU, USA, Canada, and Australia), keep product documentation up to date, and review artwork and claims for regulatory approval.

Role responsibilities

Compiling and filing technical documents. Uploading UK and EU cosmetic product registration on to relevant portals. Assisting with paperwork for overseas product registrations. Assisting in checking product formulations. Working closely with the NPD and design teams. Working with and supporting the Compliance Manager on ad hoc duties and projects as required. Assisting with the recording and storing of test results and certifications.
What you will bring

A genuine passion for cosmetics and a career in compliance. UK/EU Cosmetic regulations experience. First class organisational skills, with the ability to manage several different projects. Numerate, analytical and excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritise workload. A quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced role and environment. A natural team player with a positive outlook and a personable nature. Bonus: Degree in a scientific related field (cosmetic science, chemistry, biochemistry, biology or similar) and/or experience working in Regulatory Affairs.
