Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm


Role Overview:




The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring the company meets all legal, environmental, and accreditation-related obligations across the UK. This role supports the company's commitment to sustainability, quality assurance, and continual improvement, playing a key part in driving initiatives toward Net Zero and maintaining robust compliance systems.


Key Responsibilities




Environmental & Sustainability Compliance




Take full responsibility for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance for UK sites. Ensure adherence to all applicable environmental legislation. Maintain and manage the ISO 14001 Business Risks & Opportunities Register. Develop, update, and oversee the company's Carbon Reduction Plan. Lead the company's progress on its Journey to Net Zero. Prepare and submit Evergreen environmental compliance documents.

Accreditations & Audits




Manage all accreditation schemes, including CHAS, All for one, Constructionline, and FSC. Lead internal green initiatives and company-wide sustainability programmes. Conduct internal audits in line with ISO standards and company procedures. Support the Quality & Environmental Manager in preparing for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 external audits. Assist the Quality & Environmental Manager with administrative and compliance-related duties.

Compliance Administration




Handle and complete all customer compliance questionnaires. Maintain the company's Approved Supplier List, ensuring suppliers meet compliance and quality requirements.

Personal Profile




A successful Compliance Officer will be knowledgeable in local laws, standards, and auditing techniques relevant to the organisation. They should demonstrate:


attention to detail and the ability to understand and evaluate the significance of compliance. Effective time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong interpersonal skills Confident presentation and public speaking skills. Confidence in challenging non compliance

Experience Requirements




Preferably

1+ years of experience

in a compliance-related role. Preferably qualified to ISO9001 or ISO14001 internal auditing Experience in undertaking internal audits Experience with assisting in external ISO & accreditation audits Experience with basic Microsoft software
