Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with concrete and possess a strong understanding of masonry techniques. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting, as well as proficiency with hand and power tools. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for ensuring that concrete surfaces are finished to the highest standards, contributing to the overall quality of our construction projects.

Duties



Prepare and set up work areas for concrete pouring, including erecting forms and scaffolding. Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications. Use hand tools and power tools to finish surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even finish. Perform heavy lifting as required during the mixing and pouring processes. Inspect finished work for quality assurance, making adjustments as necessary. Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements



Proven experience in concrete finishing or a related field such as masonry or carpentry. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) consistently throughout the day. Proficient in using hand tools (e.g., trowels, floats) and power tools (e.g., mixers, saws). Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues on-site. Experience with roofing or welding techniques is a plus but not mandatory. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transporting materials when necessary. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 20.03 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 47.5 per week
