Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on various concrete surfaces. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Duties

Prepare and set up concrete forms according to specifications. Pour, spread, and level concrete using power tools and hand tools. Finish surfaces of poured concrete using various techniques, including smoothing, trowelling, and texturing. Inspect finished surfaces for quality and adherence to specifications. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and masons, to ensure project completion. Perform heavy lifting and manual labour as required on-site. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and hand tools effectively. Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous. Experience in carpentry or commercial driving is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation purposes.
