Overview

We are seeking a team skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in concrete finishing and possess a variety of related skills. This role involves working on diverse projects nationwide, ensuring high-quality finishes, and collaborating with other tradespeople to achieve project goals.

Duties

Prepare and set up work areas for concrete pouring, including forming and reinforcing structures. Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools and power tools to achieve the desired texture and appearance. Operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Perform heavy lifting as required during the mixing, pouring, and finishing processes. Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, masonry, and roofing to ensure seamless integration of concrete elements into broader construction projects. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Conduct basic maintenance on equipment used in the finishing process.

Qualifications

Proven experience in concrete finishing or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in welding techniques is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Familiarity with carpentry and masonry practices is beneficial. Ability to operate commercial vehicles may be required for transporting materials to job sites. Must be physically fit, capable of heavy lifting, and comfortable working in various weather conditions. A valid driver's licence is preferred for site accessibility.
