Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing techniques and be adept at working with various tools and machinery. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively on construction sites, ensuring high-quality finishes on concrete surfaces.

Duties

Prepare and clean surfaces for concrete pouring, ensuring they are free of debris and contaminants. Pour, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and power tools to achieve desired finishes. Finish surfaces of poured concrete using various techniques such as trowelling, smoothing, and edging. Install forms for concrete structures and ensure they are secure before pouring. Perform basic masonry tasks as needed, including laying bricks or blocks. Assist in the operation of heavy machinery when required and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Conduct regular maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to concrete finishing. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Experience with heavy lifting and physical stamina to perform demanding tasks throughout the day. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is an advantage but not essential. Basic knowledge of roofing techniques may be beneficial for specific projects. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship are essential traits for success in this role.
