Overview

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques and have experience in various construction tasks. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for ensuring that all concrete surfaces are finished to the highest standards, contributing to the overall quality of our projects.

Responsibilities

Prepare and set up work areas for concrete pouring, including formwork and reinforcement placement. Pour, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and power tools. Finish surfaces of poured concrete using various techniques such as trowelling, smoothing, and edging. Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure efficient workflow and project completion. Perform maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during the construction process.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction practices. Experience in masonry work is advantageous. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. Skills in welding are a plus for certain projects. Basic carpentry skills would be beneficial for formwork construction. Familiarity with roofing tasks may also be advantageous for specific job requirements. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transporting materials when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour
