The Consent Lead is accountable for the for the overall management of the application documents and subsequent examination and DCO / Section 36 strategy for the Project. The objective of the role includes achieving all legal defined documents, deadlines and consultation programmes of the Project on time and acting as a general coordination role for the various workstreams on the project.

Role:

  • Responsible for coordinating the DCO application documents, examination or Section 36 preparation
  • Capturing and recording all consenting deadlines
  • Management of the consultation report, site visits and any workshops
  • Develop and implement QA processes for all of the submission documents and ensure Golden Rules and Project Consenting Strategy is followed
  • Manage budgets for the application
  • Input and support Consent manager on resource needs, programme and risks in relation to the application overall and programme
  • main point of contact for all procedural matters during examination or application
  • Provide updates on legal and application showstoppers to the Consent Manager
Requirements:
  • Deliver all application documents
  • Production of Governance documents for the application submission/examination/hearings
  • Compliance with regulatory procedures
  • Track and coordinate inputs on the Risk Register for the project for the Consent
  • Facilitate lessons learnt across the consents project bringing in other packages and deliver solutions that are able to be implemented moving forward
  • In conjunction with the Consent Manager establish a Core Team and provide guidance
  • Plan and deliver site visits
  • Produce and deliver the Consenting strategy, including a view to discharging planning conditions
  • Manage any tools or trackers required for the submissions of subsequent documents follow the main application submission.
  • Key interface with the legal team to the project.
  • To liaise with Consent Manager to prepare for Core Team meetings, including setting the initial action log for hearings and written responses prior to Core Team meetings;
  • To manage issues and change log;
