We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Assistant to join our dynamic team. Duties

Assist skilled tradespeople with various tasks on-site, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Prepare job sites by cleaning and organising materials and tools. Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage. Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for all team members. Operate basic construction equipment under supervision, such as drills and saws. Maintain an accurate inventory of tools and materials used on-site. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements

Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on-site. Physical stamina to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods. Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is beneficial. A valid driver's licence is preferred for transportation to various job sites.
