We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our clients construction team. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding their market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction sales and business development, with a keen understanding of client needs and market trends. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, market research, and lead generation. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective promotional materials and campaigns. Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions. Utilise Salesforce software to track leads, manage client interactions, and report on sales activities. Provide regular updates to senior management on business development progress and outcomes.

Experience



Proven experience in construction, business development or sales role, preferably within a related industry. Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques, with a track record of achieving targets. Familiarity with Salesforce software is highly desirable; proficiency in other CRM systems will also be considered. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels. Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and identify opportunities for growth. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong experience preparing and submitting construction tenders to public sector bodies Working knowledge of frameworks, DPSs, and compliance requirements Confident communicator with experience attending client-facing meetings and events Organised and able to meet tight deadlines across multiple submissions Strong written English and attention to detail for professional tender documentation
