Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to support the development, growth and management of our Projects Department. This is primarily an office based role, with site visits and presence on site at relevant stages, where you will be responsible for the running of a number of our domestic and adaptation projects, from instruction through to completion on site.

This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre individual to join and strengthen our team. The role will require you to carry out the preorganisation of projects, redacting information from and annotating specifications with specifics, labour allocation, producing timelines, and health and safety documentation, all within our system. Then when the project goes live you will be responsible for the daily support and communication with our employed team of tradesman, customers, suppliers and subcontractors, as well as the upkeep of our systems to ensure the smooth running, high standards and efficiency of projects and the projects team as a whole.

Roles & Responsibilities



Manage all project duties to successfully deliver a project on target and within set timeframes. Maintain the scheduling & monitoring of all projects, both current and future. Be a driving force within the team to achieve targets. Support and drive the efficiency of all company project processes. Gain a detailed understanding of the project delivery process. Ensuring all site safety standards and compliance are understood and adhered to. Develop and consistently maintain good levels of communication with both internal and external stakeholders on the progress of work. Raising project related purchase orders for materials and subcontractors, including arranging the deliveries to site. Prepare documentation for meetings including the agenda, minutes of the meetings, project progress documents and summary reports.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:



Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, with a strong drive to succeed with good initiative and a flexible attitude. Be able to work with good initiative but also be able to act on instruction. Work well within a team. Excellent planning and diary management. Ability to read and understand the fundamentals of project specifications. Excellent computer skills, with a knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications, such as MS word, Excel, Outlook, and general software navigation. Have a confident telephone manner with excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal. Ability to nurture and build on established / good working relationships with clients/suppliers/partners.

Essential:



Knowledge of the construction industry. The ability to read and understand architect drawings and engineer details. Demonstrate knowledge and experience within relevant role. Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks at a time. Be process driven.

Desirable:



Experience with SimPro project management software.
