Project Manager
to join our growing team.
As the Project Manager you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing our projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role involves frequent site visits and direct interaction with clients and subcontractors.
Key responsibilities
Visit sites under your management on a regular basis.
Diary management for projects under your management.
Manage the subcontractors on site to ensure smooth coordination on-site.
Arrange material deliveries to site in a timely manner.
Ensure all sites are running efficiently, tidy, organised and Health & Safety compliant.
Produce the Gantt charts for projects.
Ensure projects run to schedule as per the Gantt chart and are being driven forward.
Have fortnightly client meetings and send the meeting notes to the client and senior team members.
Weekly management meetings with the senior team.
Resolve issues proactively and timely.
Raise and manage variations where needed.
Producing RAMS for projects under your management.
CDM awareness and site implementation.
Researching products, supplier quotes and comparing subcontractor quotations.
Assisting with technical aspects of schemes between architects, interior designers, engineers and contractors.
Experience needed
Minimum 5 years' experience of residential construction in new builds, extensions, renovations, and conversions.
Have a trade background for 5+ years.
Proven record of residential construction management.
Knowledge of project management software.
Strong organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of working off plans.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Previous Health and Safety training - certificates will be required.
Full clean driving licence.
All work will be in and around Hertfordshire.
A company van and fuel card will be provided.
This is a self-employed position. Pay will depend on experience and discussed at interview. References will be requested at interview.
