Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be involved in various construction tasks, assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary equipment. Carry out general labour tasks including digging, lifting, and moving materials as directed by site supervisors. Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely under the guidance of experienced tradespeople. Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Support skilled workers in various tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area throughout the duration of projects. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and standing for long periods. Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions effectively. A valid driver's licence is mandatory. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as required.
