Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Construction Labourer to assist our site team with day-to-day operations. The role involves general site duties such as moving materials, maintaining cleanliness, assisting tradespeople, and helping to ensure that work runs smoothly and safely.
Our projects are based within a 30 - 40 mile radius of York, so it is essential that you have transport to get to work.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist with
site preparation, loading and unloading materials
, and moving equipment.Maintain site cleanliness and organisation
, ensuring walkways and work areas are clear. Supporttradesmen and machine operators
as required. Perform basic tasks such asmixing concrete, digging, and lifting
. Help set uptools, barriers, and temporary works
. Followhealth and safety procedures
at all times and wear the correct PPE. Report any hazards, incidents, or issues to the Site Supervisor. Carry outother general labouring tasks
as needed on site.Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Previous experience working on a construction site Understanding of
basic health and safety requirements
on site. Ability towork hard in a physically demanding outdoor environment
. Good communication and teamwork skills. Punctual, reliable, and willing to learn. FullUK driving licence
and access to transport.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.50-17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
