Role:

Site Construction Manager

Working Pattern:

Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week (with flexibility to meet site demands)

12 month fixed-term contract

PAYE only - 55k-65k plus competitive benefits package

Based at client site in Banbury, Oxfordshire for duration of the contract with a requirement to travel to the Thyson Head Office in Ellesmere Port on occasion

Scope



As a Site Construction Manager at nZero, you will be responsible for the on-site management of construction activities for a high profile project, managing subcontractors, direct labour, and client relationships to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of works. You will ensure all activities comply with current CDM regulations, HSE requirements, Temporary Works procedures in accordance with BS 5975 code of practice and all works delivered to the contract programme. You will also be responsible for producing and implementing daily work plans to ensure all stakeholders have visibility of progress of the site works, coordinating on-site operations, and reporting progress to the Project Manager.

Objectives



The Site Construction Manager is expected to:

Ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 Regulations and promote a strong health & safety culture on-site. Oversee Temporary Works Coordination, ensuring designs, approvals, and installations comply with safety and engineering standards. Lead and coordinate all day-to-day site activities, create and maintain daily workplans for all activities, ensuring smooth execution of the construction programme. Maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and risk management in all site operations. Act as the key point of contact between the sub-contractors, site team, project management, designers, and external stakeholders.

Knowledge & Experience (Mandatory)



Extensive proven experience in construction site management preferably within the Petrochem/gas sector, with a strong emphasis on CDM and Temporary Works Coordination. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively. Extensive knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and BS 5975 code of practice. Mechanical pipework, civils background would be beneficial. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent understanding of health & safety best practices and risk management. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Training (Mandatory)



EUSR / SHEA Gas registration Valid full UK driving license SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) Certification NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely First Aid at Work Certification (3 Day course) CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test Valid full UK driving license
