Site Manager

Keigar Homes celebrated its 30th anniversary during 2024, having been formed by two brothers, Keith & Garry. Keigar Homes are still an award-winning family-owned company, now under the direction of Garry. New build homes are the focus, with many successful developments in the local area of North and Northeast Lincolnshire. Keigar Homes is based in Barton Upon Humber, North Lincolnshire, and have many developments across the region. We are well known for our build quality and the high standards that we maintain on every development.

Job purpose:

To organise work on New Home building sites, making sure work is completed safely, on time and within budget. You will be responsible for supervising the construction site and running construction projects. You will manage the practical side of every stage of the build, work closely with our in-house architects, and building professionals in the planning and delivery of new homes. You will also supervise and direct a range of operations on a construction site and ensure that all tradespeople and contractors are working together to an agreed plan and that progress is being made. You will oversee the construction of a home from foundations through to handover day.

Responsibilities:

Supervising and overseeing the direction of the site development, ensuring that our specification and customer choices are met and in accordance with build program and LABC standards.

Coordinating and organising the schedule of works and supervising employed and subcontract workers.

Carrying out safety inspections and ensuring site safety during construction.

Checking and working to reports, designs and drawings.

Ensuring all works are carried out in line with specification, drawings and quality standards.

Responsible for delivering new homes to agreed completion dates.

Skills required:

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with customers, professionals and workers on site.

Problem solving abilities with a "We Can Do It" approach.

Decision making ability.

Ability to motivate others.

Excellent planning and organisational skills.

Good knowledge of the building/construction trade.

Good ability to read and understanding drawings and specifications.

Be able to use a computer and be familiar with Word and Excel

An awareness of health and safety procedures and legislation for running a safe construction site.

SSSTS, SMSTS or similar qualifications.

CISRS basic scaffold inspection & First Aid at Work preferred but not essential.

Must have a full UK driving licence.

CSCS card holder.

Good knowledge of warranty provider standards, NHBC/LABC.

Job Information:

Competitive Salary based on experience, skill level and qualifications.

Skilled multi-trade.

Full-time, permanent position - (Monday to Friday).

22 days + Bank Holidays per year
