The Learning Zone is seeking a passionate and experienced
Construction Tutor
to deliver NCFE qualification
601/1088/0
(Bricklaying , Plastering, Tiling and Carpentry) units. This exciting opportunity is part of our
outreach programme
, specifically designed for
SEMH secondary school children
. The successful candidate will play a vital role in encouraging young learners to develop practical skills in the construction industry and help guide them on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver NCFE accredited construction courses from, including painting and decorating and carpentry units, to SEMH secondary school students
9:30am - 2:30pm Mon - Fri
.
Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of students and encourage hands-on, practical learning.
Promote positive engagement with students and foster a supportive and motivating learning environment.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain records of student progress and attendance.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to support students' personal development and educational growth.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
NCFE Reference Code 601/1088/0
in Construction Painting and Decorating, Carpentry.
Teaching Qualification:
Minimum
Level 3 Award in Education and Training
or equivalent.
Assessor Qualification:
(e.g.,
TAQA
,
A1
,
D32/D33
).
Experience working with SEMH students
or within an alternative education setting is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of the construction industry
, specifically in Bricklaying, Plastering, Tiling and Carpentry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
to engage and inspire students.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in delivering vocational courses to secondary school students or within an outreach programme.
Ability to use IT tools to enhance learning and assessments.
A commitment to personal development and continuous learning in education and training.
