We are seeking an experienced Responsible Individual to take on the pivotal role supporting an experienced homes manager to deliver therapeutic lead care in a solo home provision . This is an opportunity to join a forward thinking new children's home for children experiencing Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), whom are supported by our in house Therapist and care team trained in therapeutic approaches and trauma informed models of care.
The Role
As a Consultant Responsible Individual you will:
Support the setup and registration of the new home, including staff recruitment and delivery of therapeutic care in the home.
Appoint/assist in appointing staff, ensuring the proper application of Provider's recruitment and selection procedures and manage and oversee the Induction, Discipline, Capability and Grievance procedures are compliant with Employment law, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Company policy and procedures.
Provide direct support, mentorship, and appraisals for the homes Registered Manager, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Care Standards, SCCIF and the monitoring of Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 Inspections.
Oversee governance, quality assurance, and performance frameworks to deliver positive outcomes for children.
To mentor and monitor Homes/Registered Managers and provide regular formal documented supervisions, encouraging professional development, completing/identifying training and development needs to ensure objectives are met by managers.
Maintain regular oversight of OFSTED standards and prepare services for inspections.
Assessment and analysis on service performance, growth plans, and regulatory matters.
What We're Looking For
A proven track record of leadership in the RI role with established reputation with OFSTED
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Capacity as Responsible Individual to offer regularly support the homes manager and director /owner
Regular physical presence the children's home so that relationships maintained with the homes Manager, staff and children.
Current safeguarding, compliance, and regulatory knowledge.
Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate homes Manager and care team.
Good understanding of Policies and Procedures used in Children's Homes.
Passionate leader who is highly motivated in achieving the best possible outcomes for the staff team and children in our care.
