Location:

Remote, with regular travel across neighboring counties

Salary:

50,000 - 65,000 per annum (including performance bonus)

Contract:

Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking

Responsible Individual

to provide strategic guidance, oversight, and support across multiple children's residential homes in Greater London. This senior leadership role gives you the opportunity to influence practice at a strategic level, raise care standards, and empower Registered Managers to create environments where children and young people truly thrive. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will drive safeguarding excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all services.

Key Responsibilities:



Ensure full compliance with Ofsted standards, the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards. Provide consultancy, coaching, and mentoring to Registered Managers to support exceptional service delivery. Lead safeguarding initiatives and embed a culture of safe, transparent, and accountable practice. Prepare homes for Ofsted inspections, aiming for 'Good' or 'Outstanding' outcomes. Advise on operational management, including staffing, budgets, and resource allocation. Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies. Drive staff development, training, and performance improvement initiatives. Promote a culture of reflection, accountability, and continuous learning.

About You:



At least 3 years' senior leadership or consultancy experience in children's residential care. NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/working towards). Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Ofsted frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven track record of improving outcomes and influencing best practice. Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel across Greater London. Genuine commitment to delivering the highest standards of care for children and young people.
