Location: Grantown on Spey Salary: \xc2\xa322,837 \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa327,246 Full time \xe2\x80\x93 36 hours per week Fixed term - January \xe2\x80\x93 May 2024 (Four months) Closing date: 12 noon Wednesday 6 December 2023 \xe2\x80\x9cThe Cairngorms National Park (CNP) is the largest national park in the UK, covering 4500km2. It is also a place of sheer abundance, having more high mountain ground than anywhere else in the UK, the largest Caledonian forest, some of Scotland\xe2\x80\x99s purest rivers and finest livestock rearing farmland. It is home to 25 percent of the UK\xe2\x80\x99s rare and endangered species. The Cairngorms National Park Authority is dedicated to ensuring that our breathtaking natural beauty is accessible to individuals from all walks of life, as residents, visitors, job applicants, employees, and volunteers, regardless of their background, beliefs or needs\xe2\x80\x9d. As a Park Authority we have 4 distinct aims set by Parliament:

  • To conserve and enhance the natural and cultural heritage of the area.
  • To promote sustainable use of the natural resources of the area.
  • To promote understanding and enjoyment (including enjoyment in the form of recreation) of the special qualities of the area by public.
  • To promote sustainable economic and social development of the area\xe2\x80\x99s communities.
Our communications team has an important role to play in all these aims. Through powerful storytelling and strategic communications, we seek to curate and create content that supports the connection between nature, people, and place. To support this work, we are seeking Content Creation Intern to support the work of several projects\xe2\x80\x9d. This project would somebody looking to apply their skills, knowledge, and passion for content creation and gain experience within a busy professional environment. About you: \xc2\xb7 Do you have an interest in communications, and creating content for social media? \xc2\xb7 Are you well organised, reliable, and able to work unsupervised with support and advice from experienced colleagues? \xc2\xb7 Do you have the skills to produce effective web/online promotional messages? \xc2\xb7 Do you enjoy working as a team with the ability to work well with external partners & Park Authority staff? Does the scope of the role speak to you? \xc2\xb7 Effectively promote the Cairngorms National Park, engaging and growing audiences. \xc2\xb7 Reflect the diversity of communities right across the National Park, seeking out. opportunities for stories that reflect the geography of the Park. \xc2\xb7 Support the Digital Content Coordinator by providing additional on the ground. resource in capturing visual, audio, and written content and drafting social media. copy.
