Continuous Improvement and Lean Specialist

Located nearby to Batley, Bradford and Leeds, this role drives continuous improvement in the manufacturing operations on site.

Through data collection, loss analysis and problem solving, provide insights into operational inefficiencies to the Operations and Continuous Improvement teams also lead on improvement projects.

This role also provides accurate daily, weekly and periodic reporting of supply performance metrics to both local and central teams, supporting a structured problem-solving program where data and facts drive a more efficient manufacturing process.

What are we looking for?

• Experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and loss analysis
• Data collection and analysis skills including using Excel to provide insights
• A questioning mindset, always looking to understand the facts behind the results
• Good communication skills to present facts and details in an uncomplicated way
• Experience working within an FMCG or similar

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Loss Analysis, self-initiated data collection and workplace studies providing in depth analysis of line performance to define improvement opportunities to area teams.
• Capture and report losses, benchmark site performance with segment and industry best practice
• Practice lean manufacturing tools e.g., problem solving, SMED
• Providing daily, weekly, and periodic performance measures to the operations team,
• Track actual and forecast capital spend and report periodically on spend forecast accuracy through working with engineering teams
