We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Contract Manager / Project Manager to lead our Site Management Team in delivering both planned and reactive works to the highest standards.
You will be ideally based within a daily working a radius of Leeds, however our works often span across the U.K which will involve occasional lodging away.
Working within the rail sector, our clients including Network Rail, tier 1 NWR suppliers and the train operating companies.
Works are predominantly buildings and civils based, however a good all-round knowledge of building and civils disciplines would be advantageous.
This role also includes, ensuring safety and compliance across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage site teams to ensure efficient delivery of works
Liaise with OTP Providers and client representatives to coordinate schedules
Champion safety, quality, and environmental compliance
Represent the company at planning and progress meetings
Investigate incidents and implement loss prevention strategies
Monitor staff performance and promote professional development
Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and other legislation
Support business continuity and technical standards across projects
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 5 years' experience in rail construction at contract and technical management level
Strong leadership and communication skills
Skilled in building maintenance management
Ability to innovate across engineering disciplines
Full UK Driver's Licence
First Aid certification
PTS holder preferable
HNC in Building or equivalent NVQ preferred
Team & Reporting:
Manage a team of 8-15 staff
Report to Senior Project Manager / Managing Director
Financial responsibility for a proportion of the contract management budget
