At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.



Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.




Role:



Reporting to the Sales Support Manager and working under the direction of the Sales Operations Specialist, this role is key in supporting the success of Honda (UK) Car Sales.



This role requires regular interaction with our field sales team, acting as back-office support with the provision of data analysis, regular reporting and timely business payments. The role will work closely with, and where necessary, support the Supply & Logistics team during peak periods and holiday cover.



The successful candidate is a strong team player who thrives on providing exceptional customer service and is confident working in a reactive, fast-paced sales environment. The chosen candidate should be a resilient individual, who enjoys building relationships and always takes pride in completing tasks to a high standard.


Main Responsibilities:



Sales Support




Supervision of the Sales Support email inbox, answering and redirecting email queries. Financial administration including purchase orders, invoices, and raising retailer payments. Production of scheduled reports and understanding of key Sales Support processes. Provision of ad-hoc reports, to aid decision-making and sales initiatives. Analysing sales performance results and producing payment file summaries for approval. Manage the submission of sales forecasts from the Regional team, analyse and submit national summary. Using the sales data provided, ensure that these are accurately reflected in internal systems. Respond to queries from our Retail Partners regarding payments. To check the accuracy and grammar of internal/external stakeholder communications. Management and accurate publication of online Extranet/Intranet Sales Communications. To assist in the production of PowerPoint presentations for internal/external audiences.

Supply




First point of contact for Retailer network logistics queries and amendments to orders. Advise Retailers on all aspects of vehicle supply, including ordering and sourcing cars for sold customer orders, managing communication of any delays or changes to arrival dates. Assist Retailers with any queries on invoicing, stock and damage charges. Liaise with internal departments to enable efficient movement of goods, between GB and Northern Ireland. Manage supply issues and availability proactively, including surfacing supply/demand concerns, liaising with third party suppliers such as transport companies and compound staff. Monitor, block and order Retailer stock where necessary, to ensure crucial stocking requirements are always met. Self-motivated in sourcing stock for Retailers/customers and upselling conversations. Problem solving when unforeseen circumstances.

Qualification, skills, and experience required:




Excel and PowerPoint skills, ideally with experience in Pivot tables and use of formulas. Detail orientated, with a high level of numeracy. Good communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Able to multitask and work with speed and efficiency. Capable of working under pressure. Proven ability to work well in a team. Experience with working with SAP S/4 HANA. (Not essential).
