Engagement Status

Independent Teaching Contractor (this is not an employment contract).

Venues

Larmenier & Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School W6, Highland House Classroom SW19, Pelham Primary School SW19, and other agreed venues.

Requirements

Proficiency in

Traditional and Simplified Chinese

. Experience working with children (early years or primary preferred). Passion for engaging children through play-based learning. Strong classroom management and safeguarding awareness. Must hold or be willing to apply for an

enhanced DBS check

. Completion of safeguarding and child protection training (courses provided). Contractor Teachers must maintain valid

public liability insurance

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, engaging Mandarin lessons for children. Arrive 15 minutes before class to prepare and set up. Upload lesson plans and materials in advance to the company system. Submit weekly after-class outlines using company templates. Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are met. Take attendance and update student records after each class. Maintain confidentiality of Play Mandarin's teaching resources and student data. Wear Play Mandarin lanyard (and cap for outdoor sessions).

Fees

25-40 per hour (face-to-face classes). 18-30 for each 30-minute baby class. 15-25 for each 45-minute online class.
(Paid monthly, one month in arrears, subject to review every 1-6 months).

Bonus Structure

Performance-based bonus for successful

trial-to-enrolment conversions

(up to 30 per student).
